PURPOSE:To obtain a fiber-reinforced composite material having high strength and excellent formabilty and being inexpensive, by utilizing a blended resin system of a resin having a poor adhesive property with the reinforcing fiber and a resin having a good adhesive property as a matrix resin. CONSTITUTION:A composite material is prepd. by utilizing a blended resin system obtained by blending a resin (A) having a poor adhesive property with the reinforcing fiber and a resin (B) having a good adhesive property with the reinforcing fiber. 2wt% above-described resin (B), pref. >=5wt% thereof are blended. At least one additive selected from among a shrinkage lowering agent, a filler, a pigment and an internal releasing agent can be added to the resin (A). The reason why the properties of this composite material can be improved is estimated that the resin (B) having polar groups in its molecular chain can more dominantly have interaction with the reinforcing fiber than the resin (A) does and therefore there exists a layer being rich in the reinforcing fiber and the matrix resin (B), which gradually decreases in its content.
