PURPOSE:To produce a coating agent which can be cured in the air in a short time and has excellent residual adhesion and easy strippability, by reacting a specified polyorganosiloxane with pentaerythritol (meth)acrylate. CONSTITUTION:A linear polyorganohydrogensiloxane having Si-H groups at both terminals, represented by formula I [wherein R<1> is an (un)substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group; and n is a number of 4-100] is reacted with an alkenylsilane of formula II (wherein R<3> is an alkyl; a is a number of 0-2; and b is a number of 2-3). Alternatively, a linear polyorganohydroxysilane having Si-OH groups at both terminals, represented by formula III, is reacted with a chlorosilane of formula IV in the presence of a hydrogen chloride acceptor to obtain a polyorganosiloxane of formula V or VI (wherein Q id 0 or polymethylene). The siloxane is reacted with pentaerythritol (meth)acrylate to obtain a coating agent composed of a terminal-unmodified polyorganosiloxane of formula VII or VIII (wherein R<2> is H or methyl; p is a number of 0-2; m is a number of 1-3; p+m=3; x is 0 or 1; y is 1 or 2; x+y=2).
