PURPOSE:To permit easy setting of the position of a hollow body member and to prevent the thermal deformation during welding by forming a non-combustible winding body to an inside shape of the hollow body, combining the hollow body therewith, and welding the joint part, then taking the winding yarn out of the fine hole of the hollow body. CONSTITUTION:The winding body 9 of non-combustible yarn 12 such as asbestos yarn is formed according to the inside shape of the hollow body 8. Such winding body is embedded into the hollow body 7 and is subjected to assembling and welding 10; thereafter the non-combustible yarn 12 is taken out of the fine hole 11 of the hollow body 8. The parts of the hollow body 8 are correctly set to each other and the thermal deformation during welding is prevented by the above-mentioned method. The hollow body which has less errors in workmanship is thus manufactured. This method is applicable to the manufacture of small-sized tanks, etc. for fuel and gases for ocean equipment and space equipment.
