PURPOSE:To reduce the voltage stress of an element and to increase the efficiency of a converter by approaching a DC feed wire from a DC power source to an arm and approaching an AC feed wire for feeding to an AC load to the DC feed wire. CONSTITUTION:Feed wires flowing currents having equal magnitude but reverse direction are approached in a route from a capacitor 23 through a GTO circuit to the intersection of AC feed wires 30, 40 and DC feed wires 212, 222. DC feed wires 211, 221 are approached, the DC feed wire 222 is approached to the AC feed wires 30, 40, and further the DC feed wire 212 is approached to the AC feed wires 30, 40 for the case that the GTOs 25, 34 are closed. |
