PURPOSE:To realize small size and low cost, by a method wherein two snubber circuits connected in parallel to a series circuit of a current switching element and a diode are constituted by capacitors and resistors. CONSTITUTION:Three-phase power source U, V, W is connected through a smoothing capacitor Cf, each of arm components U<+>, U<->, V<+>, V-, W<+>, W<-> and a DC reactor Ld to a load LL. Each arm component is composed of series circuit of a current switching element and a diode, and two sets of snubber circuits connected in parallel to the series circuit. The snubber circuit is composed of series circuit of capacitors Cd, Ct and resistors Rd, Rt.
