CONNECTION CONTROLLER FOR NUMERICAL CONTROLLER

PURPOSE:To connect plural numerical controllers to a single programmable logic controller PLC by connecting the numerical controller with the PLC via a shared memory provided to each numerical controller. CONSTITUTION:When a PLC 5 has communication with a CPU 3 of a numerical controller, the PLC 5 sends a selection signal to a selection circuit 15 of each of data input/output parts 11a-11n for selection of one of numerical controllers 1a-1n. The circuit 15 of the part 11a of the controller 1a outputs a gate open signal only when it receives a specific selection signal for previous selection of the controller 1a. This specific selection signal opens a gate circuit 14 for communication of data between the PLC 5 and the CPU 3 of the controller 1a.
