Painting booth (K1) with recirculating air ventilation and wet disposal, with horizontally guided, parallel air streams (L1e, L1a; L2u, L2a) which are supplied one above the other into zones (Z1, Z2) and, on the other hand, are supplied via baffle plates (26, 36) which are set obliquely from top to bottom in the flow direction of the air, to one vortex scrubber (25, 35) in each case located at the lower end. The airstreams (L1, L2, L3), in a cleaned state, circulate via fans (V2, V3). The baffle plates (26, 36) are irrigated in the manner of a cascade with rinsing water (WS) guided via a filter (KF). <IMAGE>
