Tool for loosening and tightening bolts and nuts on running wheels, an auxiliary tool in the event of a flat tyre for when underway on the road, which can be carried as an on-board tool in the vehicle. The loosening and tightening of nuts and bolts for fastening the running wheels, in particular on motor vehicles, can be carried out, in the event of a flat tyre when underway, only with great effort and trouble, if at all, using customarily known tools. The standard tools of the known type can not always be used by weaker people, in the main women, and fail their purpose. To eliminate this disadvantage, a tool is proposed which makes it possible for anyone to loosen and tighten wheel nuts and bolts effortlessly and easily by means of an adjustable, relatively long lever arm for the bolts, with changeable sockets, or with a wrench head arranged in the form of a cross. In addition, the wheel-fastening elements can be put on again readily and fastened hand-tight and uniformly.
