PURPOSE:To enable plural rectangular areas to be transmitted, and to realize the transmission of plural videos on a single display device, by mounting plural picture data transmission circuits which transmit picture data in a rectangular area in parallel. CONSTITUTION:A first picture data transmission circuit is constituted of a position detecting means 10a, selectors 12a and 12c, a reader 13a, and a transmis sion buffer 11a, and a second picture data transmission circuit is constituted of a position detecting means 10b, selectors 12b and 12d, a reader 13b, and a transmission buffer 11b. By turning on the output of an AND circuit 33 in the position detecting means 10a, an input picture data transmission circuit from a picture input device(not shown in figure) is written on a picture memory 14. At the time of turning off the outputs of the position detecting means 10a and 10b, a selector 12e controlled through a NAND circuit 15 writes and holds the read out content of the picture memory 14 as it is. At a reception side, a reception and a display are performed by reading out a sent data within a frame period.
