PURPOSE:To sort specified number of paper sheets from subsequent paper sheets by providing a separator which rotatively crosses the first transfer path and the second transfer path and rotating the separator after specified number of transferred paper sheets have passed. CONSTITUTION:Bills P having entered into a feed section 3 with their inside and outside mixed are judged for the inside or outside by an inspection section 5, then a distribution means 23 is distributed into an outside transfer path 31 or an inside transfer path 33 by a detection means 22 provided on a transfer path 15, and the bills P are stacked in a stack room 36. Next, when the bills P are transferred on the outside transfer path 31 side, for example, and pass a detector 47 thereby the count value reaches the preset number of sheets, the tip of a separator 33 rotatively enters between the last bill P100 of the specified number of sheets and the next bill P101, thus the specified number of bills are separated from subsequent bills. |
