A NOVEL LIQUID CRYSTAL LIGHT VALVE COLOR PROJECTOR

<p>A compact, full color, light projection system (10) using a liquid crystal light valve (LCLV) (16) and a unique combination of optical devices. The LCLV (16) operates to modulate a light beam which has been polarized by one of the optical devices (18). The modulated light beam is converged and registered by other optical devices (175) to form the output image.</p>
