The microcomputer-controlled mains distributor according to the invention consists of a mains part (100), a microprocessor system (200) with a plurality of microprocessors, a power part (300) for each user, and a display device (400). The microprocessor system enables controlled connection and disconnection of multiple users of a data processing system in a preset sequence, and programmable connection of these users at preset times. The power part (300) contains a circuit by which short interruptions of the mains voltage are filtered out. The microprocessor system (200) monitors the supply voltage from the mains, and if an interruption of the voltage occurs which cannot be corrected, outputs a fault report to the display device (400). <IMAGE>
