Harvesting machine for leafy crops - has leaf lifters to raise plants for cutting by reciprocating knives before passage to cleaning sprinklers and crating station

The harvesting machine has leaflifters (1) engaging the bottom leaves of the plants. Rotating knives (3) move back and forewards cutting the plants off. They are passed to a sloping conveyer belt (7).. People standing on platforms (12,13) place the plants on to a rotating belt (16) where sprinklers clean them. People standing behind the stock of crates (20) place the plants in the crates. The crates are placed on a pallet. A lift (21) is mounted on the machine for the pallets.
