PURPOSE:To straighten the bend of a work with automatic operation altogether by actuating a displacement measuring means and pressing means by a control means after supporting with a supporting means the work placed on a storage means by lifting it with a transfer means. CONSTITUTION:A start button 32 is inputted by placing the work 1 of one lot part on the upper step conveyor 2a of a work loader 2. The work 1 is lifted by the arms 13, 13 for work transfer and supported on the roller 4 of a work transfer truck 3. A displacement measuring instrument 21 is then moved toward the work 1 and when it is stopped at the prescribed position, a swing stopping device 46 motions up and down to stop the vibration of the work 1. The work 1 is then subjected to a displacement measurement by a displacement measuring instrument 21 over the axial direction and peripheral direction, which is stored in a computor 31 and based on the measurement value the conditions optimum for correcting the eccentricity are decided. The work 1 is then controlled so as to come just under the ram of a hydraulic press device 41 for the straightening objective part, the eccentricity is corrected over the whole periphery in the axial direction of the work 1 until the eccentric amount comes within the range of the set value and the work 1 is transferred onto the lower step conveyor 2b.
