PURPOSE:To realize a question and answer device which is not affected by radio wave noises by using an acoustic wave as a transmit medium instead of an electromagnetic wave. CONSTITUTION:The oscillation output signal of an oscillator 13 provided to a question device 1 is converted by a converter 14 into acoustic wave energy, which is transmitted from a speaker 17. When an answer device 20 enters an acoustic energy field formed by the question device 1, the reception output of a piezoelectric converting element 22 is supplied to a control storage part 23. The control storage part 23 outputs ID data assigned to itself to a converter 21. The converter 21 converts the input data into an acoustic wave, which is transmitted to the question device 1 through a speaker 24. The received signal arriving at the question device 1 is converted by a converter 15 into an electric signal, which is demodulated by a demodulating and detecting circuit 16 and transferred to a computer 30 through an interface 12, so that the signal is analyzed there.
