PURPOSE:To obtain an optical-path switching device which requires a small space and is inexpensive, by changing the positions of an intercepting section and opening section by operating an optical-path switch so that the combination of the interception of an optical path and light transmission can be changed. CONSTITUTION:Since an optical path 1a only is set to a light transmissive state by means of the opening section 5 of an optical-path switch 6a and communicating holes 10 of other optical-path switches 6b-6n and other optical paths 1b-1d are intercepted by means of the intercepting sections 4 of the optical-path switches 6b-6n when the leftmost optical-path switch 6a only is depressed and the other optical-path switches 6b-6n are kept as they are, only the photodetecting element 7a which corresponds to the optical path 1a of photodetecting elements 7a-7d is turned on and the other photodetecting elements 7b-7d are turned off. Therefore, the output signals of the optical paths 1a-1d becomes (1, 0, 0, 0). Accordingly, output conditions of the optical paths 1a-1d can be changed by selecting the optical-path switches 6a-6n to be depressed. In this case, a maximum of 16 kinds of states can be created by using the four optical paths (2<4>=16).
