The connector is composed of an outer tube (4) in which the two halves of the connector are housed, each comprising two parts (1, 2), the small part (1) of which, pierced with a minute hole (5), receiving the optical fibre (6) which is fitted into a longitudinal recess (3) of the large part (2). This connector ensures a 0.002 mm concentricity between the internal diameter of the small part (1) and the external diameter of the large part (2) with a 0.005 mm tolerance for both diameters. <IMAGE>
