PURPOSE:To attain the input of a Chinese sentence having the small number of keys and key touches by operating shift key groups when pressing down a finals key after an initials key is pressed down by using the Chinese sentence keyboard. CONSTITUTION:The Chinese sentence keyboard 1 is constituted of the initials key group 2, the finals key group 3, and the shift key group 4. When the initials is keyed in, if the initials key 21 is pressed without pressing an initials shift (1) or (2), D is keyed in, when the key 21 is pressed while pressing the shift (1), T is keyed in and when the key 21 is pressed while pressing the shift (2), *is keyed in. When the finals is keyed in, if the finals key 31 is pressed without pressing the finals shift (1) or (2), AN is keyed in and when the key 31 is pressed while pressing the finals shift (1) or (2), IAN or UAN is keyed in. Thus, when the key 31 is pressed after the key 21 is pressed down, six types of syllables can be discriminated and keyed in by operating the groups 4, one character of the Chinese can be inputted by two times of key touches.
