PURPOSE:To enable riding sensation to be compatible with roll rigidity without using a minus spring, by a method wherein a suspension cylinder forms a reciprocation type cylinder, and accumulators for suspension spring with a damping force regulating valve are respectively and separately disposed to the upper and the lower chamber of the cylinder. CONSTITUTION:Independent accumulators 11 and 8 are coupled to upper and lower chambers 5 and 6 of a suspension cylinder mechanism 3 through damping valves 12 and 7 and coupling pipes 13 and 14, respectively, and the two pipes 13 and 14 are coupled through a communicating passage 18, in which a shut valve 17 is situated. By setting of gas spring characteristics of the accumulators 8 and 11 in a manner to be indicated by curves l1 and l2, respectively, spring characteristics on the whole, which shown by a curve L and freed from a point of inflection, are provided. This constitution enables improvement of rinding sensation and roll rigidity without using a minus spring. |
