PURPOSE:To make it possible to smoothly discharge an original which is guided by a taper section even if the original skews, by forming an original abutting reference wall such that it is straight and flat on the paper feed inlet side but is tapered on the discharge outlet side. CONSTITUTION:An operator limits the position of an original, and feeds the latter into an paper feed inlet 21 along a straight section 33 on a reference wall 32 so that the original is stably fed. When a digitizer feed paper sensor 22 detects the original, a pair of feed rollers 23, 24 are driven to pay out the original which is therefore delivered to a conveying belt 12 by means of a digitizer inlet stopper 26 in synchronization with copying operation and is stopped at a predetermined exposure position on a platen glass pane 11. After completion of copying operation the original is again conveyed by the conveying belt 12, and is redischarged into a digitizer device 3 through a discharge outlet 28. In this arrangement, when a trouble occurs during conveyance so that the original skews and slips upward, the original is guided by a tapered section 34 on the reference wall 32, thereby it is possible to discharge the original smoothly.
