The invention relates to an automatic dispenser of a dosed quantity of granular material comprising: - a storage hopper 1 for the said material; - an opening 6 called a flow opening for the granular material under gravity and produced in the base of the said hopper 1; - an automatic feed device 3 located at the outlet of the abovementioned flow opening 6 to direct the material which has flowed towards the outside of the said hopper 1. This device is noteworthy in that the lower lateral wall of the abovementioned hopper 1, adopting the general shape of a cylinder, is provided with an opening 7 called the evacuation opening (arrow F4) for evacuation to the outside of the hopper 1 of a quantity of material brought by the feed device 3. The latter is composed of two superimposed parallel discs 4 and 5, disposed on either side of the abovementioned lateral evacuation opening 7. The lower disc 4 is mobile and driven with a movement of rotation about its axis while the upper disc 5 is fixed and is pierced with the abovementioned flow opening 6 for the flow of the material which falls by gravity (arrow F1) onto the lower disc 4. Applications: automatic dispensing of foodstuffs for domestic animals. <IMAGE>
