<p>PURPOSE:To permit a single paper stapling device to bind a plurality of paper sheets at a plurality of positions, by moving piled paper sheets to a prescribed position by controlling paper sheet feed means and driving paper stapling means to staple the paper sheets at prescribed positions. CONSTITUTION:A photo sensor 67 confirms that paper sheets have been fed and applies a signal to a CPU 70 so that a number of the paper sheets are counted. The paper sheets slide on a tray 5 and are stopped by being held abutment against an adhesive tape at their front edge to be aligned in the right and left direction. When a necessary number of the paper sheets are loaded on the tray 5, a gripper 7 moves forwardly so the the back of the paper sheets is pushed by a compiler wall 19 be pressed against a side gate for alignment in front and back directions. Next, the gripper 7 returns to a position where gripping is possible so that the paper sheets 50 are gripped by a solenoid 16 at their rear edge portion. A moving distance of a prescribed position of the paper sheets 50 required for the position to move to a stapler 9 is determined based on data on a set paper size and a number of stapling in a stapling mode and a motor 23 rotates to cause the paper sheets 50 to travel forwardly and a drive solenoid 77 causes a single stapling device to staple the paper sheets at 2 or 3 positions.</p> |
