PURPOSE:To obtain the title polymer of excellent free flow and quality, by adding a specified compound to a slurry containing a vinyl chloride polymer obtained by suspension polymerization. CONSTITUTION:A vinyl chloride monomer (a) and, optionally, other polymerizable vinyl monomers are suspension-polymerized in an aqueous medium in the presence of a polymerization initiator to obtain a slurry (A) containing a vinyl chloride polymer. Component A is mixed with 0.005wt%, preferably, 0.01-0.2wt%, based on component A, mono- to deca-, preferably, tri- to deca- substituted ester of a di- to deca-mer, preferably, tetra- to deca-mer of glycerol with an 8-20C fatty acid (e.g., decaglyceryl pentastearate) and the mixture is agitated at 10-85 deg.C, dehydrated and dried.
