PURPOSE:To facilitate manufacturing and assembling of an apparatus constructed by assembling separate parts of an intake passage, a float chamber and a cover for the float chamber, by assembling and clamping the constituent parts of a carburetor by a clamping means including a band member. CONSTITUTION:A built-up carburetor shown in the drawing is composed of a float chamber 12, a float 14 disposed in the float chamber 12, a cover 16 for the float chamber 12, an intake passage body 18 having therein a venturi, an outer sleeve 20 supporting the body 18 and fixing the same to the cover 16 with a gasket 19 interposed therebetween, etc. On the other hand, a clamping means 70 for assembling and clamping the carburetor is composed of a metal band member 72 shaped in an inverted U-form, an arm member 74 having a pair of arms 81 extended in radial directions from its flat central portion 80, and a screw means 76. In assembling and clamping the carburetor, the screw means 76 is screwed into a threaded hole 82 formed in the arm member 74 fitted in slots 78 of the band member 72, until the top of the screw means 76 comes into tight contact with the bottom of the float chamber 12. |
