PURPOSE:To stably manufacture grain-oriented electrical steel sheets having a small iron loss by dividing accumulated continuously cast slabs for manufacturing grain-oriented electrical steel sheets contg. a specified amount of Si into blocks each consisting of a prescribed number of slabs and by charging the slabs in a heating furnace by the block. CONSTITUTION:When continuously cast slabs for manufacturing grain-oriented electrical steel sheets contg. 2.0-4.0% Si are put in a heating furnace, slabs accumulated by the difference between the casting capacity of a continuous casting machine and the treatment capacity of the heating furnace are divided into blocks each consisting of about 2-20 slabs and the slabs are charged in the heating furnace by the block. Thus, the track time can be properly reduced and controlled. The slabs heated to a prescribed temp. in the heating furnace are subjected to proper hot rolling, cold rolling and treatment such as annealing to about grain-oriented electrical steel sheets having a small iron loss in a very high yield. |
