PURPOSE:To prevent defective developing caused by sticking toner by providing a means that removes toner sticking to a developer transporting carrier. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic substance bar 9 is provided opposite to the S2 pole of a magnet for developing. A magnetic field is formed in a gap between the magnetic substance bar 9 and the surface of a developing roll 7, and developer is attracted by the magnetic field to form a magnetic brush and braking force is generated against carrying of the developer. Consequently, slipping is caused in speed of movement of the developer and developing roll in the gap. Thereby, toner sticking on the surface of the developing roll during developing operation is wiped off by the developer by sliding motion caused by slipping. Accordingly, accumulation and filming of toner do not occur. |
