<p>PURPOSE:To miniaturize and simplify a device, by detecting relative speed between a rotary magnetic head, and a magnetic tape from the output signal of the rotary magnetic head, generating a signal corresponding to the speed of the magnetic tape by performing the arithmetic calculation of a detected signal, and controlling the feeding state of the magnetic tape at a searching time corresponding to a generated signal. CONSTITUTION:At the time of inputting a searching command to a system controller 18, the system controller 18 controls motors 6 and 7 through a reel servo circuit 17, and feeds a tape 3 at speed faster than that at a recording and reproducing time, while keeping a state that the magnetic tape 3 is wound on a rotary drum 2. In such case, two rotary magnetic heads 2 (A and B) are brought into contact with the magnetic tape 3, and the signal is reproduced from an oblique track, and a reproduced RF signal is inputted to a reproduction equalizer amplifying circuit 9, then being equalized, and after that, it is inputted to a relative speed detection circuit 10. The relative speed detection circuit 10 compares a clock of prescribed frequency with a reference clock outputted from a reference oscillation circuit, and detects the relative speed between the rotary magnetic head 2, and the magnetic tape 3.</p> |
