PURPOSE:To attain a switching between an automatic answering telephone set part and a non-voice terminal part without using a remote control means, by actuating the automatic answering telephone set part when a call is delivered from a telephone set and actuating a data terminal part with a call given from a data terminal equipment respectively. CONSTITUTION:When a level signal is detected, an automatic answering telephone set part 5 is actuated and a control part 6 actuates a circuit switching part to switch a public telephone circuit 7 to the part 5. Thus a message reproducing function of the part 5 is actuated. While a tone CNG signal detecting part 2 starts to detect the presence or absence of the CNG signal received from the calling side. When no CNG signal is detected and the end of the message reproducing function of the part 5 is detected, the part 5 is actuated to record a message. Then a telephone circuit is disconnected after the detection of the end of the message recording function. While the part 6 actuates the part 3 to start a receiving action after detecting the CNG signal. The circuit is disconnected when the end is detected for the automatic receiving function of a facsimile part 4.
