PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for much trouble to fit lenses by applying a contact type adhesive to the fitting-in grooves of a lens frame and the peripheral parts of the lenses. CONSTITUTION:The contact type adhesive in use in a quick-setting colorless transparent adhesive consisting of styrene butadiene rubber which is synthetic rubber and cyclohexane which is an organic solvent. The clamping screws 7 of both lens frames of the spectacle frame are detached to expand the lens frames 1 and the contact type adhesive is applied to the fitting-in grooves 3 of the lens frames and the peripheral parts of the lenses 8 to 0.02-0.03mm thickness by using an applicator. The peripheral parts of the lenses 8 are fitted in the fitting-in grooves 3 of the lens frames after the coating layers dry to become colorless transparent elastic layers, and the elastic layers of the peripheral parts of the lenses 8 are brought into contact with the elastic layers in the fitting-in grooves 3 fit the lenses 8 in the lens frames 1. Then, the clamping screws 7 are run through the clamping parts 5 and 6 of the lens frames and engaged threadably to clamp and contract the lens frames 1, thereby pressing the elastic layers for adhesion.
