PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of useless curling and jamming, by distributing sheets to a bending means or a bypass conveying path by means of a change- over means in accordance with the result of detection of the size of a sheet fed out from an image forming device. CONSTITUTION:The size of a sheet S fed from the discharge port 11 of an image forming device 10 is detected by a detector 62 and is then discharged and delivered into the introduction port 2 of a sheet bending device 1. A gate 15 is turned in accordance with the size of the sheet S which is therefore led into a bypass passage 16 or a bending passage 17, The sheet S led into a bending passage 17 is introduced into one of bending sections A1 through A3 in an bending means A designated in accordance with the size of the sheet, and is therefore bent. Thereafter, the bent sheet is merged into the bypass passage 16, and is fed into a finisher device 7 through a discharge port 3. With this arrangement, it is possible to prevent occurrence of useless curling and jamming, thereby it is possible to prevent useless operation on the bending conveying path.
