PURPOSE:To easily recognize the meaning of a parameter, by storing the meaning of the parameter to be inputted at the time of generating a sequence program, and displaying the meaning of a stored parameter at a position corresponding to the position on a CRT display where the parameter should be displayed. CONSTITUTION:At the time of generating a prescribed sequence program, a CRT display 11 displays a picture to input the parameter required for the generation of the sequence program. At the time of inputting the parameter, and in case that the meaning of the parameter corresponding to a data number is indefinite, a display controller 12 displays the meaning of the parameter stored in a memory 14 by the depression of a prescribed key on the CRT display 11.
