PURPOSE:To obtain a thermosetting resin molded item having high strength and also excellent external appearance by a method wherein sheet-like substance is placed between incompletely cured molding materials produced by opening flash molds, in which opaque thermosetting resin molding material is heated under pressure so as to be brought into its incompletely cured state, and after that heated under pressure. CONSTITUTION:Opaque amino-based resin molding material containing cellulose- based filler, the preferable ratio of which to the sum of amino-based resin and cellulose-based filler lies within the range of about 23-40 % by weight, and about 0.5-5 parts by weight of titanium oxide to 100 parts by weight of said sum of amino-based resin and cellulose-based filler, is heated under pressure in flash molds so as to completely separate the molding material into two portions adhering nearly equally onto both the top and bottom forces of the flash molds by opening said flash molds under the condition that said molding material is brought into its incompletely cured state. Next, sheet-like substance is placed on the incompletely cured molding material adhering to the bottom force and finally said molds are closed again for heating under pressure.
