<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the semiconductor integrated circuit for drive of a thermal head at a low cost, by a method wherein each terminal on one side of first and second heating resistors is connected respectively to a current feed source and a current absorption source, and both terminals on the other sides thereof are connected to one and the same output terminal, and both heating resistors are driven. CONSTITUTION:One ends of first and second heating resistors 1a, 1b are respectively connected to a power source wire 12 and an earth wire 13, and the other ends thereof are connected to one output terminal 11 of a driving 1C 2A. When a first switch control signal 10a is present and the first switch circuit 9a is closed by the first output data signal 8a, the 1C output terminal 11 is connected to the earth wire 13 and current is allowed to flow through the first heating resistor 1a to perform printing. Next the second switch control signal 10b is generated and the second switch circuit 9b is closed by the second output data signal 8b, then the 1C output terminal 11 is connected to the power source wire 12 and then, current is allowed to flow through the second heating resistor 1b to perform printing.</p> |
