PURPOSE:To stably run a carriage at high speed by arranging a prepressure applying means in a space area where the guide block-side face of a carriage body and the carriage body-side face of the guide block face each other. CONSTITUTION:Plural pairs of rolling wheels 5 each of which consists of a pin 2, a bearing 3, and a wheel 4 are provided on a carriage 1, and the carriage 1 is guided on a pair of guide rails 6a and 6b through rolling wheels 5. The prepressure applying means which generates the operating force to equally distribute the prepressure in an axial direction to 4 rolling wheels 5 is arranged in the space area where a face 1a in the side of the guide block 9 of the carriage 1 and a face 9a in the side of the carriage 1 of the block 9 face each other. A magnet 10 and a magnetic body 11 are provided on faces 1a and 9a respectively as the prepressure applying means, and the operating force due to the attraction between the magnet 10 and the magnetic body 11 is equally distributed as the prepressure in the axial direction of bearings 3. Thus, the carriage 1 is stably run at the high speed.
