The process for the production of products based on polyethylene comprises carrying out the mixing of polyethylene with vinyltriethoxysilane (from 1 to 3%, based on the polyethylene composition) and diethyltin dicaprylate (from 0.05 to 0.1%, based on the polyethylene composition), carrying out the grafting in the extruder of vinyltriethoxysilane onto polyethylene by treatment of polyethylene with ultrasound under cavitation conditions at a specific energy of the ultrasound treatment of from 10<5> to 7.2 . 10<5> joules/kg at a temperature of from 160 to 250 DEG C, and carrying out the subsequent crosslinking of polyethylene in the presence of water.
