The invention is based on bar belts of the above type, in which elastomer springs are provided between adjacent bars and are situated in the plane determined by the bars. In order to be able to achieve a better durability and larger loading capacity than is possible with known springs, which are designed as tension springs, specially designed fixing devices are provided for the springs, which, on the basis of the invention, overlap one another or are in engagement with one another. In addition, springs loaded under compression are arranged between these fixing devices.
