PURPOSE:To inform an incoming call to a person around a key telephone set by constituting the titled system so that the key telephone set having a loud speeking communication function having such as a speaker automatically responds in case of no response during a time set in a system beforehand in case of receiving the incoming call with the key telephone set through a main unit. CONSTITUTION:When a TEL1 20 does not respond within the set response time for incoming call determined in the system which is stored in a RAM 6 with the form of a bit array, a CPU 8 transmits a control data signal to actuate an automatic response circuit 25 in the TEL2 21 to the TEL2 21 itself through an IOINF 5, a DB 9, a DIF 4, and through a control data signal line 13a. Thereafter, the CPU 8 transmits the control data signal, to a SW 2 via the IOINF 5 and the DB 9, so as to connect a speaking line 11a corresponding to a trunk 30 from an IDI to the TEL2 21 via a VIF 3. Consequently, the TEL2 21 comes in a response communication state, and the voice of a caller is heard from the speaker 22 of the TEL2 21 in order to inform the incoming call to the person around the TEL2 21.
