A handling device, which can be used in particular for handling test heads, has a compact design by virtue of the fact that the weight counterbalance which is provided for the test head attached in each case is carried out via a pulley block arrangement, a superimposed fine adjustment in height being possible by means of a threaded spindle without additional guiding expenditure. On account of the low design of the supporting housing, the centre of gravity of the entire arrangement is very low. A swivelling movement of the receiving device over the supporting column is possible through a swivelling angle of 360 DEG .
