PURPOSE:To obtain an EL (emergency low) stage excellent in reliability by arranging an interlock mechanism between operating rods of a sub-transmission and a main transmission and making the sub-transmission untransferrable to the low speed stage side unless the speed change stage of the main transmission is set to the first speed stage. CONSTITUTION:Interlock grooves 42, 43 are formed on mating faces to positions where a shift rod 35 transferring the soft fork of the synchronous mesh mechanism of a sub-transmission to the high-speed side and the operating rod 39 of a main transmission are operated to the first speed respectively. An interlock pin 44 coupled between these interlock grooves 42, 43 is slidably fitted to a housing 27. This pin 44 is slightly long in length than the distance between both rods 35, 39 so that when one end side of the pin 44 is coupled with one of the interlock grooves 42, 43, the other end side is brought into contact with the side face of the rod 35 or 39. Accordingly, the sub-transmission can not be transferred to the low speed stage side unless the speed change stage of the main transmission is set to the first speed stage. |
