PURPOSE:To form a remote controller without needing a construction expense by transmitting the same control code as that of a wireless remote controller for in-house with a telephone line and controlling the equipment such as an in-house video tape recorder and an air conditioner. CONSTITUTION:An infrared ray 8 modulated to various instruction codes of about 40KHz is emitted from a remote controller 9 to the light receiving part 10 of a VTR 7 generally, a control circuit decodes this with a microcomputer in a VTR 7 main body as a center and the prescribed action is executed. A controller 4 emits, from an infrared ray emitting part 6, the same infrared ray 5 as the infrared ray 8 modulated to various instruction codes of about 40KHz to emit toward the light receiving part 10 of the VTR 7 from the remote controller 9. Thus, an originator makes a telephone call to the person's home with the telephone set at the destination of going-out, calls the controller 4 and can control necessary equipment.
