A device (1) for supplying a measured quantity of a fuel, in particular fuel fed into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, comprises an actuatable valve (4) which is guided in a valve body (2) via a shaft (3), said valve (4) intermitently controlling an outlet opening (5) arranged in the valve body (2). In order to be able to use the device (1) for a cryogenic gaseous fuel, the shaft (3) of the valve (1) is designed to be hollow in order to form a supply chamber (8). Channels (12), arranged in the shaft (3), connect the supply chamber (8) with an overflow chamber (13) arranged in the valve body (2), said chamber being located in the vicinity of the outlet opening (5). Preferably the channels (12) are designed with a helicoidal shape.
