The invention relates to a self-cleaning rotary rake which is arranged in a mechanism frame transversely with respect to the direction of flow in a river bed. In order to ensure that fish and physical impurities can be discharged in a gentle fashion, discs 3 and 4 which rotate in the same direction and with an increasing rpm towards the top are mounted one on top of the other and one behind the other as can be seen in the figure. <IMAGE>
