PURPOSE:To prevent the formation of linear whiskers from a zinc layer formed on a member by galvanizing by heat treating the galvanized member and chromating it. CONSTITUTION:A member to be galvanized is galvanized, heat treated at >=200 deg.C and chromated. By the heat treatment, nodules are formed from all of the whisker forming nuclei in the resulting zinc layer, so the formation of whiskers after the heat treatment can be inhibited. |
