PURPOSE:To prevent flicker or color mixing even at high picture element by providing a transparent medium having a refractive index higher than that of air and whose surface is flat onto a microcolor filter element. CONSTITUTION:An on-wafer type microcolor filter 4 is provided on a solid-state image sensor 3 where plural light receiving sections 2 are formed on a wafer 1. Then a transparent medium comprising an adhesives 5 and a glass 6 adhered by the adhesives 5 is provided on the entire sensor of the filter 4. The refractive index of the color filter is nearly 1.5 and the transparent medium, especially the adhesives 5, has a refractive index near to that of the color filter 4. Thus, the lens effect being a problem of the on-wafer type color filter with a high picture element is reduced and the lateral stripes and flicker on the picture are blocked without causing the substantial variation of the aperture.
