PURPOSE:The titled composition, containing a specific alkoxy group-containing polysiloxane, an organometallic compound of a group IVB metal and organometallic compound of a group IIIA metal in a specific proportion and capable of giving films having improved scuff resistance, etc., and thick coating on synthetic resin, slate substrates, etc. CONSTITUTION:A composition obtained by blending (A) 100pts.wt. alkoxy group- containing polysiloxane expressed by formula I (R1 is alkyl; a is a number to give >=10% ratio of occupied alkoxy linked to Si) with (B) 5-80pts.wt. organometallic compound of a group IVB metal, e.g. tetraethoxysilane, tetraethoxyzirconium, tetraethoxyhafnium, etc., (C) 5-80pts.wt. organometallic compound of a group IIIA metal, preferably trimethyl borate, trimethoxyaluminum, etc., and, as necessary (D) 2-40pts.wt. epoxy group- containing silane compound expressed by formula II or III, (E) 2-40pts.wt. aminosilane compound expressed by formula IV or V and (F) 10-100pts.wt. epoxy resin.
