PURPOSE:To provide the titled resin containing a polyepoxide compound, a cyanic acid ester resin, a thermoplastic resin and dicyandiamide, giving a cured produce having excellent heat resistance and water-resistance and suitable especially as a matrix resin for prepreg of FRP. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin contains at least (A) a polyepoxide resin having >=2 epoxy groups in one molecule, (B) a cyanic acid ester resin (preferably a polyfunctional cyanic acid ester having >=2 cyanato groups in one molecule or its mixture with its prepoplymer of a mixture of the above component and a polyfunctional maleimide containing >=2 maleimide groups in one molecule or its mixture with its prepolymer), (C) a thermoplastic resin (preferably polyaryl ether sulfone having high glass transition temperature) and (C) dicyandiamide.
