PURPOSE:To provide a printer made easy to fabricate a head, by providing a plurality (for example in-numbers) of rotary heads each of which is formed by providing a large number of heat generating elements to the peripheral wall of a cylindrical substrate along the axial direction thereof while reducing the numbers of lines provided to the unit section of each head to 1/n of the line numbers in printing character arrangement. CONSTITUTION:In a rotary head 1 wherein a large number of heat generating elements 3 are provided to the peripheral wall of a cylindrical substrate 2 along a printing line provided in the axial direction of the substrate, each line interval is set to n-times of the line interval of a printing character and n-numbers of the rotary heads 1 are arranged to alternately perform the dot printing of each line. Each heat generating element 3 in each line 4 is constituted so as to be connected to a common step wire 5 at every line at one end thereof and to a common calumn line 7 at every column 6 at the other end thereof. |
