A method and a device for drying photographic sheet material. The photographic sheet material is attached to supporting frameshaped structures (9, 9', 9'') having a reticular or perforated surface, preferably extending in a curved configuration, and utilizing means of attachment located at said surface. The frameshaped structures (9, 9', 9'') are thereafter arranged by a supporting structure (5) in a spaced relationship to each other, and caused to perform a rotary movement while at least one air jet is supplied to the space restricted by the supporting structure (5) and thereto attached frameshaped structures (9, 9', 9''). Said air jet is heated by means of electric heaters, arranged to be bypassed by said air jet. On one hand due to centrifugal action, and on the other hand due to the byflow of the heated air past the frameshaped structures (9, 9', 9'') and thereto attached photographic sheet material, which byflow is enhanced by a centrifugal fan resembling effect, the photographic sheet material is dried. |
