PURPOSE:To attain the reception of a retrieval request even if all general relay lines are busy by providing a facsimile retrieval request receiver to a line exchange where no storage device is provided, and connecting the receiver to a storage device allocated to other district via an exclusive relay line. CONSTITUTION:A call request is detected by a line circuit LC to which a terminal FAX is connected and connected to an outgoing register trunk ORT by a central processing unit CPU. When the connection if finished, a terminal device FAX of a district A transmits the number of retrieval request to the outgoing register trunk ORT. A request receiver RRC receiving the said information from the terminal device FAX transmits the said information to the storage device S/F via an exclusive relay line tying the said RRC and the storage device S/F allocated in the other district and the retrieval request processing is executed by the storage device S/F. When the retrieval request is transmitted to the storage device S/F via the request reception RRC, the connection between the terminal FAX and the request receiver RRC is disconnected by the known method. |
