MICROBICIDAL AND MICROBISTALIC COMPOSITION FOR INDUSTRIAL USE

Microbicidal/microbistatic compositions for industrial use contain 4,5-dichloro-1,2-dithiol-3-one(I) and alkyne bisthiocyanat e(II). (II) is pref. methylene bis-thiocyanate(IIa). The (II): (I) wt. ratio is pref. 0.1-25:1. The compsns. pref. comprises 1-50 pts.wt. each of (I) and (II) and at least 0.01 pt. wt. of a dispersant in an anhydrous hydrophilic organic solvent. The dispersant is pref. a nonionic surfactant(esp. an oxyethylated /oxypropylated alkylamine or an alkanoamide) and the solvent is pref. an amide, glycol, glycolether or 1-8C alcohol.
